About Inner Circle
THE SHORT FILM
Inner Circle is a proof-of-concept short film for a political drama television series that could see the first woman ever run the greatest city in the world.
Think The Good Wife meets Billions.
The short film serves as a prequel to season one of the series which begins three years later.
THE SERIES
Michelle Moss, a wealthy Type A, heiress turned advocate for the average Joe, seems to be the perfect candidate for Mayor of New York City until she finds out her family has skeletons in their closet.
Skeletons, which could cost her everything.
Suddenly, she's in need of Kurt Turner, the fixer who nearly torpedoed her career.
Kurt's a player. To what extent will Michelle play to get what she wants? And can she even trust him?
Perhaps the real question is, after she finds out what’s really happening, can she trust anyone?
LOCATIONS
Directed by Jeff Oppenheim, Inner Circle was filmed in both New York City and Philadelphia under a SAG-AFTRA Micro-budget contract and in conjunction with the New York City Mayor's Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting.
